Vintage AirMail Newsletter - The adventure lives on...
Geoff Says…

Geoff Robison

Welcome to the Pre-Convention special edition of the AirMail Newsletter. Please be sure to also check us out at the Vintage Aircraft Website at: www.vintageaircraft.org. Our Website continues on a path of excellent improvement. It is an awesome resource for those among us who have a true passion for information and stories about old flying machines.

For those of you who have already joined the Members Only section of our website, the entire archive of past issues of Vintage Airplane magazine is now searchable. This recently added improvement is in response to requests from many of our members.

We are now literally a few days away from the launch date of the World’s Greatest Aviation Event. The Convention grounds are coming alive with tents, displays and early arrival aircraft. Many excellent improvements to the grounds have been accomplished in the past 12 months, and I believe that all of our Members / Visitors will again be amazed with this year’s event.

More and more Volunteers are arriving every day on the grounds and pitching in to help us put the finishing touches on the VAA Convention Site. A lot of communications have been shared with these Volunteers as well as our prospective attendees. There seems to be a high level of interest going on about attending this year’s event so I am speculating that we will have a great Convention this year.

The Round Engine Rodeo is coming together quite nicely. The enthusiasm for this event has also been strong, and I will also speculate that this event will prove to be very successful as well.

We will all witness a fair number of very rare aircraft that have never before been seen in the VAA ranks at AirVenture. If you count yourself as one those Members who have a true passion for these very special Vintage Aircraft, then AirVenture 2013 is certainly the place for you.

Remember, we are better together. Join us and have it all.

The adventure lives on!
