8:00 AM – New Unleaded Avgas for Vintage Aircraft presented by Brian Stirm
With the development and availability of new unleaded fuels for aviation, specifically UL94 avgas, this forum will give an overview of the historic use of unleaded fuels in general and the new marketplace of unleaded fuels both now and in the future. This will be an understandable technical discussion of important fuel properties that all older aircraft operators should be aware of.
9:00 AM – Swift Museum Foundation Forum presented by Jim “Frog” Jones
Come to hear everything Swift. Presented by Jim “Frog” Jones, President of the Swift Museum Foundation, this forum will discuss the airplane’s history, current topics with the Swift, and recent activities of the club. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Swift Museum Foundation, so this will be a forum you don’t want to miss!
10:00 AM – ADSB & Vintage Airplanes presented by Dave Abrams
Dave Abrams, member of the Ercoupe Owners Club, will be talking all about ADSB and its integration with vintage airplanes. Questions answered in this forum include: “What is ADSB?”, “Do you have to install ADSB?”, “Why is ADSB more expensive for Ercoupe owners?”, “What are your options for meeting the ADSB mandate?”, and “What are the choices and costs to meet the mandate?”

Calling all kids who are interested in aviation! This forum is being put on by our Vintage Youth Ambassadors – all young people with a wide variety of involvement in aviation, from flying to maintenance to engineering. Come hear their stories and learn how you can get involved in the aviation world, too! This forum is for the young and young at heart – all are welcome.
Noon to 1:00 PM – Vintage Childrens Workshop presented by Dave Clark and Vintage Volunteers for children aged 8 to 12.
Join us for practice using hand tools in aviation. Youth will be shown proper use of hand tools followed by hands on practice. Parents are encouraged to attend and watch their kids progress.

8:00 AM – Mods & STC’s on Small Continental Engines presented by Don Wade
Don Wade will be discussing everything related to modifications and STC’s on smaller Continental engines, such as the A-65’s, C-85’s, O-200’s, etc. Don holds the STC’s for many of the mods for these engines, so he’s the guy to talk to if you have any questions.

Come and ask an AME any questions you have about your next flight medical exam, what medications are okay, blood pressure readings, which medical exemptions are available, etc. Ask your questions without the stress of asking during your flight physical exam.

Come to hear all about their 1934 WACO YKC, NS14137. Dave and Jeanne spent 10 years restoring this beautiful airplane together, and they continue to fly it as often as they can!

8:00 AM – A Five-Minute Walk Around of a Fabric Piper presented by Clyde Smith
Clyde Smith, “The Cub Doctor,” will present his famous safety walk around of the fabric Piper, but will be helpful for any aircraft preflight inspection. This hour-long program will cover how to make sure your aircraft is safe to fly every time you prepare to aviate. Clyde loves answering questions, so bring them to this forum!
9:00 AM – Utilization of Drones in NTSB Investigations presented by Bill English
Drones are everywhere in the news these days, with many stories of risks and dangers… but have you ever thought of drones as something that can help transportation safety?!?! The NTSB is putting small drones to good use during investigations. Mapping accident scenes, getting in close to hazardous sites, and modelling terrain and wreckage, are all being done today in NTSB investigations. Learn how this “drones for good” application can be helping to make aviation safer!
