Oregon paper honors Tim Talen VAA Hall of Fame inductee
All of us at Vintage were delighted to read an article from The Register-Guard in Eugene, OR honoring Tim as the most recent member of the Vintage Aircraft Hall of Fame. The article is a great read, but our favorite part below is about the unique home Tim and his wife have created.
On Nov. 13, Talen was inducted, making him the 30th person nationwide inducted into the Vintage Aircraft Association’s Hall of Fame since its inception in 1993.
“I was very, very surprised,” says Talen, who lives with his wife, Marian, in the second-floor apartment that was crafted inside the airplane hangar he bought in 1981 for $2,000 at the old Springfield airport.
